Competition Hunter Terms of Use

The following Terms of Use outline your obligations when visiting and using Competition Hunter (www.competitionhunter.com). Competition Hunter's Privacy Policy outlines our terms regarding user information. It is important to read both our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy as by visiting Competition Hunter you are accepting both the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy and are agreeing to be bound by them.

User Obligations:

As a condition of use, you agree not to use the Services for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms of Use, or any other purpose not reasonably intended.

Actions that are expressly prohibited under our Terms of Use include (but are not limited to) the following.
It is forbidden:

1. to abuse, harass, threaten, impersonate or intimidate other users;

2. to post or transmit any content that is infringing, libellous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, abusive, offensive, profane, or otherwise violates any law or right of any third party, or content that contains homophobia, ethnic slurs or religious intolerance;

3. for any illegal or unauthorised purpose. If you are an international user, you agree to comply with all local laws regarding online conduct and acceptable content;

4. to post or transmit any communication or solicitation designed or intended to obtain password, account, or private information from any user;

5. to submit Spam, or any content that could not be reasonably thought of as useful to the community, for the sole purpose of marketing or linkbuilding;

6. to violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws);

7. to use any user details to send unsolicited marketing information or Spam;

8. to use any manual or automated method to "scrape", reproduce or syndicate content on the site through the use of RSS or otherwise; to crawl, or cause excessive server load and resources through scripts or any other automated means;

9. to influence, mislead or deceive Competition Hunter by actions intended solely to accrue Karma points by gaming the system through unnatural use or automating actions, or by any other means that could be reasonably be thought of as dishonest or fraudulent;

10. to attempt to impersonate another user or person;

11. to sell or otherwise transfer your profile;

12. to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of Competition Hunter.

User Behaviour regarding Karma Points:

Karma is intended to be a reward for contribution and time spent engaging with the site and helping its users, not a get rich scheme. Techniques to accrue Karma that will invalidate any Karma reward order may include (but are not limited to):

- Submitting spammy entries with no relevance
- Deliberately submitting duplicate entries
- Submitting spammy comments
- Deliberately submitting duplicate comments
- Use of multiple user profiles per person
- Unnatural repeated or automated activity or the use of robots or scripts
- Any action that could be reasonably thought of as gaming or cheating the Karma system

Our response to this may include (but is not limited to) voiding of order; issuing a warning; suspension of the user; or banning of the user.

Content and Copyright:

Part of Competition Hunter's functionality concerns listing of external sites with competitions, submitted by its Users. Competition Hunter treats all external sites outside of the domain www.competitionhunter.com as outside its remit of responsibility and has no control or influence over the sites that may be listed. It is not responsible for any occurrence or consequence of users visiting external sites. It is the User's responsibility to exercise care and diligence when visiting sites linked to externally, and you acknowledge and accept that Competition Hunter shall not be liable, directly or indirectly for any damage or loss in connection to sites outside of the www.competitionhunter.com domain.

Competition Hunter does not claim responsibility for or ownership of any of the content listed by its Users. Competition Hunter cannot guarantee nor endorse content, and any views it holds and claims that it may make. Any and all listed content is not directly or indirectly associated with Competition Hunter in any way. It is the User's responsibility to exercise care and diligence when responding to listed content, and to exercise discretion when assessing claims made by listed content. You acknowledge and accept that Competition Hunter shall not be liable, directly or indirectly for any damage or loss in connection to listed content.

Competition Hunter does not claim copyright over any of the content listed by its Users. By submitting content to Competition Hunter you assert that you have the rights to the content you are listing, or are doing so in good faith that you have permission to use that content in a way which is acceptable to the rights holder. Competition Hunter will respond expeditiously to any and all reports of copyright infringement and will deal with removal of any infringing material. Complainants are requested to contact the address contact@competitionhunter.com with details of the material in question and proof of your ownership of content. All registered brand names and trademarks are property of their respective owners.

Competition Hunter Reserves the Right:

Competition Hunter reserves the Right to do the following:

1. to warn, suspend, or ban users in breach of the Site's Terms;

2. to change the Karma values for actions on the site, and for exchanging against vouchers. Any changes made will be clearly announced and indicated;

3. to void any Karma Reward Store order deemed to be suspicious or fraudulent;

4. to amend the Site's Terms of Use or Privacy Policy. Any changes will be fully disclosed therein.

Competition Hunter shall not be Liable:

Whilst every effort is made to ensure the security of the site at all times, Competition Hunter as a large community site is subject to attempts at security breach, hacking, DDOS, and other malicious attacks on the sites integrity or data, as is common online for communities. Whilst Competition Hunter will act expeditiously in the event of an attack, you acknowledge and accept that Competition Hunter shall not be liable, directly or indirectly for any damage or loss in connection to viruses, data loss, spam, or other consequence of the malicious or criminal actions of any third party.
