Guest Post: The Baby Website

We never realised how much some people really made by entering
competitions. By becoming a devoted ‘comper’ and entering as
many competitions as possible there’s every chance of coming away
with a great virtual boost to your annual income.

This is particularly so if you enter competitions that relate to the sort
of things you would normally buy in the shops.

If you’re a new Mum or Dad, you’ll be able to find absolutely loads of
competitions on the various baby and parenting sites out there. Lots
of the competitions on TheBabyWebsite.com are particularly good
if you’re looking to win children’s toys, clothes, gifts, toiletries and
even the occasional family holiday. Imagine how much that could
save you!

It’s important to find sites that make it easy to enter the
competitions, as there’s nothing more frustrating than having to
spend ages filling in huge forms just to enter. Look for sites that ask
for just enough detail to keep you informed if you are a winner.

Many of the Mums and Dads who start entering competitions on a
regular basis never look back as it can make every day that little bit
more exciting when checking their emails. Whatsmore, the chances
of winning are so much higher than the National Lottery, which
absolutely millions of people enter every week. For the very best
chance of winning, try entering competitions which involve writing a
sentence or tie-breaker, as these offer by far the greatest chance of
bagging your prize due to the low numbers that enter them.

Good luck!

Why do Women Love to Talk?

To quote the old saying, a problem shared is a problem halved and women are particularly good at sharing and caring.

Whatever is bothering us, whether it is relationships or work issues’, talking through problems with others often takes the pressure out of the situation.  Talking can certainly help you to sort through your feelings and put things into perspective.

Talking is unique to humans, distinguishing us from all other species and allowing us to develop skills, increase our social circle and grow as people.

It is often claimed that women are better communicators than men and there is certainly scientific research to prove that we are more in touch with our feelings and that, on the average, more of the female brain is devoted to language.

Louann Brizendine, a clinical professor of psychiatry at the University of California in San Francisco says that women talk nearly three times more than men and her research shows that women can use 20,000 words a day compared with 7,000 for the average man – and we talk twice as fast.

She also claims that women devote more brain cells to talking than men do and that talking triggers a flood of brain chemicals which give women a rush similar to that felt by heroin addicts when they get a high.
A fascinating subject, perhaps one I could talk about for hours!
